Holly McElroen

Holly McElroen, RN is Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for Quiescence Quiescence Congregate Living Health Facility Care Home By RNs. She has over 30 years of Nursing experience in multiple areas of the healthcare field, including the ER (Emergency Room), the emergency dialysis units, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), and subacute care facilities.

 

Holly is highly adept at troubleshooting complex medical problems and finding the most effective resolution to benefit both staff and patients. She is focused and hardworking, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Adept at managing multiple, diverse tasks and simultaneously working under pressure. Analytical self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to bring order. She is loved by both patients and their significant others.

 

In a prior role, she was the unit manager of a Skilled Nursing Facility and was in charge of the management of 60 patients and the staff taking care of these patients. Holly’s interest is in wound care and is working on getting wound care certified (WCC).

 

Holly is the proud grandmother to adorable grandchildren, Layla and Julian. Holly’s other interest is world travel, and this year (2023), aside from seeing the northern lights in Fairbanks, Alaska, and enjoying the sea and sand in Oahu, Hawaii, she also traveled across the globe from Sacramento to Rome to Abu Dhabi, The Philippines, and back to Sacramento in 14 days!

 

During her visit to the West Visayas State University – College of Nursing in The Philippines, Holly met future nurses whose journey through nursing school was successful by overcoming the odds, that she has proposed a scholarship for financially challenged incoming first-year nursing students through the Holly McElroen/Care Home By RNs scholarship grant.
